1. Introduction

DanceUP is operated by THELDC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the DanceUP platform — including our website, mobile-optimized site, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us and information generated through your use of the Service:

  • Account information: Name, email address, and password when you register for an account.
  • Profile information: Any additional details you add to your profile, such as a profile photo or preferences.
  • Payment information: Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe, Inc. on our behalf. DanceUP does not store full card numbers or CVV codes on our servers.
  • Transaction data: Records of packages purchased, classes booked, events attended, and studio sessions reserved.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps, device type, browser, and IP address — collected automatically through our service infrastructure.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your DanceUP account.
  • Process payments and issue class credits for purchased packages.
  • Send booking confirmations, receipts, and service-related notifications.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
  • Improve and personalize the Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

We work with the following trusted third-party providers who may process your data on our behalf:

  • Google Firebase & Google Cloud: Authentication, data storage, and hosting infrastructure. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Stripe, Inc.: Payment processing and saved payment method management. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. Stripe may store your card details as a Stripe Customer on your behalf.

Each of these providers operates under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them independently.

5. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your account and transaction data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you request account deletion:

  • 90-day pending window: Your account enters a 90-day pending deletion period. During this time your account remains accessible and you may cancel the deletion request at any time from your profile settings.
  • Personal data deletion: After the 90-day window expires, your profile, contact information, dance preferences, profile photo, and all personally identifiable data are permanently deleted.
  • Financial record retention: Transaction records (amounts, dates, and class credits) are anonymized and retained for 7 years as required by applicable tax and financial regulations. All personally identifiable fields are removed from these records at the time of deletion.
  • Studio credits: Any unused studio credits associated with your account will expire when your account is permanently deleted and are non-refundable.
  • Payment methods: Saved payment methods stored with our payment processor (Stripe) are removed when your account is permanently deleted.

You may request deletion of your account at any time from your profile settings (see Section 6). To immediately cancel your deletion request within the 90-day window, visit your profile settings and select "Cancel Deletion Request."

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data, subject to the 90-day pending window and legal retention requirements described in Section 5.
  • Cancel a pending account deletion at any time within the 90-day window from your profile settings.
  • Opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

The DanceUP Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at info@danceup.app.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or via an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
